Addictions Counsellor III

Your Opportunity:

We are seeking multiple highly skilled, client and family focused, team oriented, and engaging casual Addiction Counsellors to join our team at Medicine Hat Recovery Centre. The Addiction Counsellor III will work with individuals struggling with addiction issues and/or concurrent disorders. You will work as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team collaborating on the delivery of care for the needs of individuals, families and/or communities while in treatment at our facility. Responsibilities will also include providing quality, client focused, recovery based and culturally appropriate assessment, treatment, case management, crisis intervention, education and referral services to individuals. This role also monitors and evaluates client progress and achievement of recovery goals and adapts treatment plans as needed. As an Addiction Counsellor III, you will utilize your relationship building skills with clients, families, team members and community stakeholders.

Description:

As an Addiction Counsellor III, you will provide quality, client focused, recovery based and culturally appropriate assessment, treatment, case management, crisis intervention, education and referral services for clients and their families; as well as community stabilization services. You will develop and implement treatment plans and provide a range of interventions which offer least intrusive and most appropriate services to clients and their families. You will also monitor and evaluate client progress and achievement of recovery goals and adapt treatment as needed. As an Addiction Counsellor III, you will depend on your excellent relationship building skills with clients, families, government staff and colleagues.
