Your Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly organized Administrative Support IV to support the operations of the Criminal Code Review Board (CCRB) and the forensic service in Edmonton, ensuring that individuals under its jurisdiction — along with their families, advocates, and clinical teams — experience a process that is timely, transparent, and respectful. This unique role sits at the intersection of mental health, law, and public safety, requiring strong judgment, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to navigate sensitive situations with professionalism and compassion. Responsibilities include coordinating all healthcare aspects of CCRB hearings, preparing and maintaining accurate records and correspondence, supporting board members and physicians before, during, and after hearings, and contributing to process improvements and a collaborative, high performing team environment. The role also involves maintaining meticulous electronic filing systems, liaising with hospitals and justice partners to ensure continuity of documentation, and monitoring internal databases for accuracy and timely reporting. The ideal candidate thrives in a detail heavy environment, manages multiple priorities with precision, and values fairness, due process, and the dignity of every person involved.

Required Qualifications:

Some post-secondary education.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Qualifications include post-secondary education in administration, justice studies, social sciences, or a related field; 3-5 years’ experience in legal, healthcare, or government settings involving sensitive information; a strong understanding of mental health or forensic systems (or willingness to learn); exceptional communication skills; high discretion and professionalism; and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
