Your Opportunity:
Psychiatric Adult Services (PAS) is a time limited outpatient program serving clients who are referred directly from ER services for Mood and Anxiety related concerns. The work performed is varied, requiring: confidentiality, specialized knowledge, an ability to make ongoing adjustments within a complex environment, an ability to meet deadlines, and establishment of protocols and procedures for support services to meet the diverse needs of the patients and their families. The main roles of this position include: welcoming patients, contacting and scheduling appointments with patients, organizing and ensuring all charts are kept up to date and in order, and working on all administrative tasks.

Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of a recognized medical or business post-secondary administrative program at the diploma level. Three or more years of progressive secretarial and administrative support experience in a health care environment with one of those years being in an outpatient mental health setting required. Experience with Connect Care ambulatory. Excellent PC and keyboarding skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet) Data entry and database management skills required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. Demonstrated patient and family centered cared. Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative and attention to detail required. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with an interdisciplinary mental health team including management required. Demonstrated organizational, prioritized, and time management skills required. Must have a history of collaborative relationships with multidisciplinary teams and management. Must have knowledge of, and a history of adherence to, the policies and procedures of AHS related to patient care delivery. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a multidisciplinary setting.
Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of organizational/clinical workflows and practice. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written English communications skills. Ability to facilitate change in a progressively changing technological computer environment. Able to handle multiple demands at once and prioritize appropriately. Good organization skills, experience and comfort in problem solving and conflict resolution. Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods
