Completion of Grade 12. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 2 years of experience working with at risk populations in an addiction and/or mental health setting. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training and familiarity with Motivational Interviewing techniques required. Understanding of cultural safety and indigenous health perspectives. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport while maintaining professional boundaries is required.
Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of addiction and recovery principles, harm reduction and trauma informed care. Recovery Coach training. Experience working in acute psychiatric inpatient settings, emergency department and/or medically supported detoxification units.
