Master's Degree in Psychology or Social Work. Active or eligible for full registration (not provisional) with College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) or the Alberta College of Social Work (ACSW). A minimum of 5 years' experience in providing mental health assessment and intervention, including restricted activity of psychosocial intervention.
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of 5 – 6 years of recent experience in addiction and mental health. Experience providing clinical supervision. Strong abilities in working within an interdisciplinary team and demonstrated contribution in emerging programs are essential. Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Advanced knowledge and skill in addiction and mental health assessment, crisis intervention, and treatment. Proficient in risk assessment, and disclosure and documentation of risk. Candidates should possess exceptional communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills, along with the ability to maintain composure and professionalism in challenging situations. Ability to ambulate, climb stairs, and move quickly without limitations in a variety of environments.
Preferred Qualifications:Familiarity with provincial legislation related to the Mental Health Act and the Mental Health Services Protection Act, and a history of implementing quality improvement initiatives. Strong organizational skills and the ability to foster collaboration across diverse stakeholders are highly valued.
