Your Opportunity:

Calgary – Adolescent Day Treatment Program (ADTP) reporting to the Program Manager and under the direct supervision of the Cook I or designate, the Food Service I is responsible for specialized duties including the preparation, assembly, presentation, service of menu items and clean up for all clients at ADTP. As well the position will support the food service at the child & adolescent day hospital working with another Food Service I from that area. The position will adhere to safety, sanitation, and food preparation standards in accordance with RA/AHS policies and guidelines. The successful candidate will be able to: Work independently in a fast-paced environment with speed and accuracy. Work under pressure in high stress situations. Communicate effectively in English with clients, co-workers, and other site departments. Demonstrate critical thinking skills and initiative. Work as an effective, professional team member. Demonstrate a client first approach as outlined in the RA/AHS Foundational Strategies

Description:

As a Food Service I, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine tasks associated with basic food preparation in accordance with Recovery Alberta standards and procedures. Your typical duties may include packaging and portioning food items, preparing food according to set guidelines and menus, serving meals to patients and customers and cleaning and sanitizing equipment, dishes, tables and serving areas.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent. Physically capable to lift food, supplies and equipment up to 46lbs and must be able to push/pull meal carts up to 250lbs. This position requires you to walk and stand on your feet for the duration of your shift.
