Your Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team at The Fort Saskatchewan Correctional Center. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide essential medical care in a secure environment while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive health services for individuals in custody. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Conduct nursing assessments, monitor vital signs, and document patient progress. Collaborate with RNs, NPs, physicians, mental health professionals, social workers, and security staff to deliver integrated care. Respond promptly to medical emergencies and follow established protocols. Promote health education and preventive care within the correctional setting. This position may be subject to the optional consequential internal vacancy process in the AUPE collective agreement with Recovery Alberta

You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and Recovery Alberta policies and procedures. Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
