Your Opportunity:

Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) therapy is primarily indicated for treatment of depressive disorders in the adult population. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will be required to utilize the rTMS assessment tools to measure response, remission, recovery and relapse of the patient population. The LPN scope within this opportunity will include but is not limited to competency standards in assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation and documentation. The LPN will support the patient teaching by the development of both the discharge plan and follow up instructions.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and Recovery Alberta policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of Recovery Alberta.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in addiction and mental health, preferably in a community setting. Demonstrated experience with a variety of evidence-based practice in the treatment of severe and persistent mental illness is required. Demonstrated ability to work well in a team and seek consultation when necessary. Ability to ambulate, climb stairs, and move quickly without limitations in a variety of environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with Connect Care is an asset.
