Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 2 year of recent experience in a general mental health or related setting. Solid interpersonal communication skills, organizational skills and critical thinking skills. Demonstrated knowledge of mental health decompensation. Demonstrated knowledge of psychotropic medication.
Preferred Qualifications:A minimum 1 year of recent experience in a forensic mental health setting. Basic knowledge of the Not Criminally Responsible due to Mental Disorder (NCR-MD) legislation (Criminal Code Review Board). Current nonviolent Crisis intervention (NVCI), Connect Care training, and N95 fit testing.
