Your Opportunity:
The Care Manager is primarily responsible and accountable for providing day to day direction, team leadership, planning, implementing and evaluating a range of addiction services at Addiction Recovery Center (ARC). Adhering to fiscal realities, provincial policy and standards, legislation and best practice. The incumbent operationalizes service delivery, develops and maintains internal capacity and skill to meet service needs, provides day to day management and leadership to interdisciplinary team. The CM is responsible for supporting the day-to-day oversight of the team and delivery of care to our clients. This includes recruitment, staffing, service monitoring, performance management and other related processes. The CM must have a good sense of the team’s workload/pressures and effectiveness/efficiency of services. The CM will demonstrate leadership skills that will be applied in 1:1 meetings and meetings with staff and external stakeholders and builds/maintains solid working partnerships with all stakeholders to achieve the goals of the program. A working knowledge of the Collective Agreements (HSAA, UNA, AUPE GSS, AUPE AUX) is required as is an ability to deal effectively with performance issues. The CM will also be responsible for scheduling employees, approving vacation and reinforcing the importance of staff attendance, reliability and punctuality.

Degree/diploma in a health-related field. Registration with professional association/college as appropriate. Minimum of 5 years of front-line experience with demonstrated informal leadership competencies. At least 5 years of experience in MHA Acute Care, Residential services, or Community Based Care
Additional Required Qualifications:
Frontline clinical experience with clients / patients who have significant addiction concerns and or mental health concerns.
Preferred Qualifications:
Contribution to committees, groups or informal/formal leadership opportunities.
