Completion of a master's degree in psychology; a bachelor's degree in social work incorporating education in mental health assessment, brief counseling, and crisis intervention; a master's or bachelor's degree in occupational therapy with similar educational components; a bachelor's degree in nursing with training and experience in mental health assessment, crisis intervention, and brief counseling; or a bachelor's degree in psychiatric nursing. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.
Additional Required Qualifications:Two or more years of counselling experience. Specialized knowledge in following areas would be an asset: perinatal mood and anxiety disorder, infant loss, trauma informed care and treatment of birth trauma, substance use disorders in perinatal populations, and harm reduction.
