Your Opportunity:
We’re seeking a dynamic individual to work with clients in both one-on-one and group settings. Your superior communication skills will be essential as you deliver psychosocial interventions using a variety of treatment modalities—including individual,, and group therapy—for individuals experiencing persistent mental health challenges. You’ll work both independently and as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, providing evidence-informed care through crisis intervention, assessment, consultation, referral, case management, and treatment. We are looking for an individual who believes in delivering the highest standard of patient- and family-centered care in a psychosocial rehabiliation context.
Description:
As the Mental Health Therapist, you will be required to use a variety of treatment modalities (individual, family, and group) to persons experiencing significant mental health difficulties. Working both independently and as a member of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will provide evidence informed and best practices in crisis intervention, assessment, consultation, referral, case management and treatment.

Master's degree in Psychology; or master's degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy; or master's or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; or master's degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.
Additional Required Qualifications:You have strong communication and organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to work in an interdisciplinary team. You demonstrate excellent observation, organization and communication skills. You are able to communicate findings in a concise and accurate manner. You have strong problem solving and interpersonal skills. CPR required – BLS for Health Care Providers Level C.
Preferred Qualifications:Six or more months experience working in psychosocial rehabilitation is desired. Psychology credentials are preferred. Experience in the area of Adjustment, behavioral management and addictions counselling is preferred. Strong communication, organization and report writing skills are also desirable, as well as demonstrated ability to work within an interdisciplinary team.
