Master's degree in Psychology; or master's degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy; or master's or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; or master's degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.
Additional Required Qualifications:Recent experience in conducting screening, comprehensive mental health assessments and dealing with clients in crisis. Knowledge and experience in individual counseling, using a variety of treatment modalities and assessment tools. Self-directed, highly motivated, exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Active and supportive team member. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:A strong working knowledge of the Justice system and the relative challenges for those with substance use and/or mental health illness who have come into conflict with the law is preferred.
