Completion of bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program. Registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
Additional Required Qualifications:1-year experience providing occupational therapy services in a mental health or rehabilitation setting. Must be able to complete the physical tasks of assisting with patient transfers, mobilizing upper extremities and assisting with ambulation/mobility.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience conducting cognitive and performance-based assessments. Experience working with older individuals with cognitive impairment and mental health issues. Experience leading psychoeducational and/or skills-training groups. Memberships with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) and/or the Society of Alberta Occupational Therapists (SAOT). Non-violent crisis intervention training and active AADL Authorizer status are considered assets.
