Completion of bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program. Registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
Additional Required Qualifications:At least 2 years working as an Occupational Therapist working with individuals with mental health concerns. Competency to assess sensory processing and develop and implement sensory modulation approaches. Experience providing education and training. Clinical skills necessary to conduct discipline specific and psychosocial assessment, treatment planning, psychosocial intervention and crisis intervention. Strong skills in organization, time management, problem solving and critical thinking. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting. Demonstrate flexibility in a continually changing health care environment. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to thoroughly and accurately collect and document information in a professional and timely manner. Training in non-violent crisis intervention required.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience working on an inpatient setting an asset. Group facilitation skills preferred.
