Completion of an accredited Psychiatric nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta (CRPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Basic Life Saving Level C. Training in Suicide and Crisis Intervention; Applied Suicide Intervention Skills; Training (ASIST) Certificate or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing, Master of Nursing. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Mental Health. Minimum of 2 years of Community Mental Health experience. A working knowledge of psychiatric pharmacology. Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Developed and proven skills. Working knowledge of Mental Health Resources.
