Qualified to practice law in Alberta and a member in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta. Minimum of 5 years post-call legal practice with a commercial focus. Strong background and proven experience providing legal advice in at least 4 of the following areas: contracting, procurement, data & privacy, tech & innovation, health, research, administrative & regulatory, insurance, and Indigenous law.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to work effectively with senior management. Strong negotiation and legal drafting skills. Demonstrated legal research, writing and statutory analysis skills. Demonstrated ability to balance business considerations against legal risks to formulate creative solutions that advance client needs. Independent, motivated self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments under significant time pressures. Proven ability to perform well in complex matters and deliver timely, effective results. Strong commitment to operating within a team environment and collaborating to achieve common goals. Superior organizational and negotiation skills, with client-focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Effective communicator with the ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to facilitate change and support organizational growth.
